About Gecko
Gecko records video from machine vision cameras.
Gecko connects to machine vision cameras using the Common Vision Blox (CVB) software from Stemmer Imaging.
Frames are then streamed directly to standard Windows AVI files on disk as RAW frames, or compressed using any DirectShow codec.
The output AVI video can be archived or shared. Since the output is standard video, it is playable using Windows Media Player.
DirectShow codecs from LEAD Multimedia are installed with Gecko, providing MJPG and MPG2 compression to AVI as standard. An ultra-high speed MJPG codec is also included for very high speed real-time compression to an MJPG file format.
Gecko also shows live full-screen video or quad-view video on a separate monitor for operator overview.
